You can't delegate growth or customer satisfaction - Jeffrey R. Immelt (CEO, General Electric)

First and foremost reason for majority of projects transformation to Agile is customer satisfaction. Customers are involved throughout the process of product development, starting from understanding their requirements till getting their feedback of the product before releasing the final version. This is the best way to build trust in them.

An instant example that flashes in mind, is Amazon customer service. We order a product, just imagine, if we are blinded of the progress and at the end on committed date we receive it. As a new customer, will this approach gain trust in the brand? Making the progress transparent is key to Business now.

The next critical factor, pulling people towards Agile is better product quality. Inspection or self validation or testing is followed throughout the journey. Each and every team member is responsible for quality of the product. To enable inspection, there is transparency of working model between internal stakeholder and with customers.

Another key factor is reduced risks. Since customers are involved throughout the product development, any deviance from product goal will be identified by them much early and corrective measure shall be adapted. This paves way to a win-win situation between both the parties.

Obviously the end result, early to market i.e. creating usable product feature, will be achieved by including above mentioned factors. As the methodology works by splitting complex requirement into multiple smaller tasks, it takes lesser time for the project team to provide their deliverables faster.
